Basic Needs
Teachers who want to promote social competence of children, ensure that they meet the three basic needs: the need for autonomy, competence and relationship.
These three basic needs are prerequisites for learning and development. So also for the development of social competence and global citizenship:
- Autonomy: space and responsibility.
- Relationship: you feel welcome, belonging, play together and work together.
- Competence: the experience that you can get appreciation for your performance.
