Amy: "Ooh! that is hard for China '
The most obvious is 'Globalization' if you look at the origins of the stuff. In the film studies students in grade 8 of the Oscar Carré school where their goods come from. and why? Amy takes the stand at a world map. The interconnectedness between countries through the origin of our stuff is a fact. What are the advantages and the disadvantages?
Kumar: "... and always will."
For centuries people from different countries move to the Netherlands. And people from the Netherlands to move to other countries. Think of the old colonies, and more recently, people who move to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. In the film we meet several people in the Netherlands have built a new life. Kumar says that there are always people will move to the Netherlands.
Yashila: "Too - hi - ta - to."
With globalization, the danger creation of cultural uniformity: all over the world can you hear the same music, find a restaurant or a fashion chain and you (U.S.) view soap. The advantage of globalization is that many places you can enjoy different cultures have to offer song, dance and drama. Yashila does for how she dances and we see a group of dancers rehearse in Kenya.
